The EZ-Blocker® is a device for one lung ventilation. Due to its specific shape the EZ-Blocker®
is easy to place and will also remain in its correct position during manipulation of the patient
or lung.
The EZ-Blocker® is a catheter with a bifurcated distal end. The bifurcation resembles the bifurcation of the trachea. During insertion trough a standard endotracheal tube, both distal ends easily find their way into the two main stem bronchi.
Under bronchoscopic vision the lung can be isolated by inflating the balloon. The inflated balloon will always be located at the entrance of the main bronchus.
The EZ-Blocker® will not dislocate after inflation of the isolated lung. If renewed isolation is required the balloon can be reinflated without the need to reposition the balloon.
